Photocopier is a device used to make paper copies of a printed document. There MFDs that can scan, print and photocopy in Copier Repair Pros.
History
Prior to the invention of the photocopier, numerous attempts were made ??to make duplicates of original documents. Up until 1867 , the process was quite tedious mechanical copying, until in the year made ??its appearance typewriter, providing backup tasks considerably.
The year 1938 , Chester Carlson , accomplished the first successful copy paper through an electrostatic process-based system or “Xerography,” which its derivation from the Greek translates as dry writing or printing. During investigations performed in the Batelle Memorial Institute , Carlson improved xerographic system and in 1947 , he sold the commercial rights to his invention to a company called Haloid , which by the year 1950 , changed its name to Xerox , introducing to the market A few years later, the first automatic xerographic photocopier.
Despite the evolution and improvement of the xerographic system, this process is still used in photocopiers of all the brands. However, a new market is emerging, that of multifunction devices. It would be copying machines that have digital technology, with a much higher quality in terms of image, low energy consumption and low maintenance. Besides all these advantages, these machines have the ability to perform functions fax, printer and scanner. On the other hand, can be connected to a computer, expanding employment opportunities considerably, helping to adapt to the high demands of the technological world.
Types of photocopiers
Two main types of copiers: the xerographic, using regular paper, and the electrostatic sensitive requiring special paper.

Xerographic
Xerographic copiers In the original document is scanned by a beam of intense light that projects the image on a photosensitive surface rotating drum, which is electrostatically charged in correspondence with the image.
On the drum is distributed pigmented powder, called toner, which adheres to electrified areas (ie, where no image), writing or playing the original drawing.
The well pigmented image is transferred from the drum to the copy paper provisions, which eventually warms to fix definitively the pigment on the copy.
Although it was invented by the Greeks, this process resembles that civilization, to which it owes its name.
Xerography (xeros Greek: graphein dry: write) was invented by another American, Chester Carlson, on October 22 of 1938 , but that the called electrophotography. In the following years, a score of institutions rejected his patent, until, in 1944 , the Battelle Memorial Institute of Ohio signed an agreement with Carlson and began to develop xerography. In 1947 signed an agreement with a small photography business, Haloid , which later became the now famous Xerox .
In 1959 the first photocopier was marketed.
Electrostatic
In electrostatic copiers reproduced image is projected directly onto the paper, the surface is sensitized with electrical charges.
The paper is then subjected to a bath of toner particles and are fixed at electrified areas thereof leading to the final copy.
Color
The next step was the color photocopy, process created by the Japanese company Cannon , in 1973 . The same company achieves laser copier black and white and later, in 1986 , introduced the first color laser copier on plain paper.
Automatic classification
Separate including pages.
Duplex printing without printing the page first, then all odd pairs.
Stapling, folding and binding.
Ordering previous mail.
Automatic page numbering.
Watermark
Automatic digital scanning improvement
Removing dark edges. Many times when scanning books is not well stuck to the glass and that area is black is ugly and makes spend more toner.
Pages straightening work, so do not go crooked lines.
Enhanced text and background smoothing. For easier reading and toner savings.
Auto Tray Switching power when just the previous paper.
Selecting part of a page. It can be built using a digitizing tablet.
Filling out forms. It stores information about where you should place each field and then filled automatically.
